Analyse & group picking orders
MultiMix for Robots breaks down each picking order into a minimum number of stable load units, based on the order data provided. This significantly lowers the order related logistic costs. For the calculation, the specifications of the user are taken into account. For example:
- maximum loading height for each load carrier
- maximum weight for each load carrier
- how fragile and stackable specific items are
- separation or consolidation of item or product groups
Calculate stable stowage plans, generate & export control data
In addition to pallets, other load carriers can also be used, e.g. rolling containers, pallet boxes, or reusable containers. Due to the supporting walls, the requirement for a stable cargo is less than would be necessary when using pallets. MultiMix for Robots calculates
- a stable stowage plan for each load carrier
- the exact position of each package on the load carrier
- the order in which the conveyor system feeds the packages
Finally, MultiMix for Robots generates and exports the control data for the robot used. In doing so, the equipment and functionality of the robot are taken into consideration, in order to ensure a maximal packing capacity and uninterrupted operation.
Integrate customer specific features
MultiMix for Robots is custom developed and implemented for the client. Therefore, all customer requirements can be represented in the software. For example: when the deployed palletising robot picks items directly from a homogenous source pallet out of the warehouse onto the picking pallet, the task is to always transfer the entire quantity of each order onto the picking pallet. This is because the source pallet should, if possible, only be requested from the warehouse once.
Acquisition support with new projects
Robot manufacturers and integrators can profit from robotic systems even in the planning stage. With MultiMix for Robots software, Multiscience provides the possibility to visualise automated picking in advance, based on real order data. This makes it possible to evaluate alternative high performance robotic systems.
